Paul Davis Fencing Academy prides itself on developing their athletes both on and importantly off the piste.

Academy Director, Paul Davis approached us to help tell these athlete stories.

The result, two athlete documentaries sharing unique stories reflecting the journey and lessons they learn whilst at PDFA.

Project Creative Team

  • Lucas Johnson Faustino

    LEAD VIDEOGRAPHER & CREATIVE DIRECTION

    VS Founder, Lucas, leads the creative direction on this project. Pushing the team to approach motorsport content with a different lens, to engage the whole Quanloop EST1Racing team in content and help build the story around the characters of the team this year.

    Lucas has also lead the Production aspect of this project, being on the ground with the team at most races this year - this has helped us establish our VS processes and get to understand the client on a level that allows us to be within the action of a race-weekend, rather than a lens outside looking in.

  • Edward fishleigh

    PHOTOGRAPHER

    Edward’s brief was to capture both some striking creative portraiture of Ava to compliment the short-documentary and be used across promotional material, but equally to capture a behind-the-scenes look at the shoot from the VS side. Resulting in a gallery that tells the story of this shoot and reflects the key elements of Ava’s journey.
